I don’t think people realize how dangerous some of their car accessories can be until they’re in an accident and then realize they shouldn’t have been paying so much attention to anything other than driving. What confuses me is that manufacturers build cars for safety, but the things that are built into the car distract you from the road. How does it work? Here’s another one: If the speed limit is 65 MPH, why do they make cars go faster than that?
06. Lift kit
– When people often use a lift kit to improve the car’s center of gravity, it’s basically like putting a coin on the rim instead of the face. The greater the boost, the more likely your car will flip.
05. Colored fog lights
– When you need to replace your fog lights, it is better if you keep using the standard fog lights because they are safer for other drivers; you don’t want to blind people when you drive. According to the US Department of Energy, the only advantage yellow lights have is that they have a better appearance that some people prefer to have.
04. TV screens on your dashboard
– For one thing, why are there TV screens on the dash? where people often look to see how fast they are going and how much gas they have left. At first they were just meant for the kids in the back who wouldn’t stop crying, but now the adults are having fun. Virginia and Illinois are two states that actually have a law that prohibits the installation of any screen in the front where the driver can see.
03.GPS systems
– I think they are similar to TV screens: it has colors and you can get distracted. I guess it’s nice because it shows you where to go and all that jazz, but what if you get confused and keep looking at the screen? So what happens? You do not see where you are going and there is a high possibility that you could have an accident.
02. Cup holder
– I think this is more for people who drink hot coffee, which is probably most of us. When you spill it, chances are you’ll end up swerving and just doing things to other drivers that you really shouldn’t be doing.
01. Limousine tints
– Generally, when you have very dark tinted windows, the police cannot see you; this means that you think you can get away with doing whatever you want. These things that you do keep you super distracted from the road, especially since you think that the police cannot see what you are doing there.
I think these are the most things that can distract people like me and you from putting all of our focus on driving. Of course I understand that when you have people in the car, you’re going to be talking to them, but they can see where you’re going, so if you do something wrong, they can tell you your mistake. When you drive alone, you don’t have that extra security.
