It’s fun to use TV mounts in a motorhome or caravan. It can be a little different to mount a TV in a motorhome or caravan. Because they are made of different materials than our normal houses.

Motorhomes need more care to install a mounting bracket. Although all manufacturers provide an installation kit with TV mounts for caravans or motorhomes, as a user, the following information may be helpful in successfully mounting a TV in your caravan.

Motorhomes are made with either wood or polymer walls. Therefore, it will be difficult to mount a bracket on these walls with common screws.

Check the surface or the place where you want to fix the TV stand. Using normal screws to mount it will not be secure. A better solution is to mount your TV with nuts and bolts. Install a metal plate to hold the stud bolts on each side of the wall.

Another good place to mount the TV stand in an RV could be in the closet. You can use an “Under Cabinet TV Stand” or “Foldable TV Stand” to get rid of wall surface/material problems. Under cabinet brackets will allow you to mount and fix the bracket firmly, avoiding any damage or breakage due to vibrations.

There are two types of caravan stands available on the market. One with a thin fixing plate and the other with a thick fixing plate. You can decide any of these fixing plates that best suits your needs.

Supports for caravans or motorhomes generally made with high profiles. They can twist and turn, they have arms that can be extended and folded towards the wall. These features will give you more flexibility and entertainment, as well as the option to place your television with other furniture in the camper.

Please check the VESA standard of your TV and choose the right mount accordingly. Check that a better TV for a caravan should be no more than 15 kg in weight. Some manufacturers claim a weight of up to 20 kg. Heavy TVs need more secure accessories. Therefore, check carefully the maximum weight that a caravan TV mount can support.
