The Different Michael Jordan Movie Documentaries – The Early Years

Nowadays, we always hear in the news and media that he or she is the “Michael Jordan” of this or that. He gives everyone the impression that his previous athlete was the best in that sport. That prompts me to describe the unique Michael Jordan movie documentaries that have been released since he entered the NBA in 1984.

First, I’d like to give you a summary to the best of my understanding of who Michael Jordan is. He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1963. But he grew up in Wilmington, North Carolina. During youth and adolescence, much like the movie-“Come Fly With Me”-Jordan’s opening video-points to the daily battles on the basketball court he would have with his brother Larry. One of the most well-known flops in sports history that propelled Jordan to the greatest basketball legend of all time was when he was cut from the Varsity Basketball team. You can even imagine it! Jordan being cut on any team is unbelievable.

That event is what would propel Jordan and ignite a spark in him to become the exceptional basketball player that he was. We hear it all the time, you only succeed when you fail. One of Michael Jordan’s movie commercials was a Nike commercial when he mentioned that he fails and fails all the time. That is why it is successful.

The second documentary is known as Michael Jordan’s Playground. It begins with a teenager trying to make the high school basketball team. But he finally he is not selected. He walks to the nearby basketball court and tries to figure out why he wasn’t good enough. After that Michael Jordan appears. So, fundamentally, Jordan is telling the kid not to quit. If he doesn’t make it this year, he’ll work even harder to make the team for the next twelve months. Basically, this is a real Michael Jordan highlight from his early years in the NBA.

For the 1988 NBA year, Jordan won both the MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards. He even now he wasn’t considered great because he hadn’t won a title yet. Those years before he won the title, the biggest test of him was the Detroit Pistons. For 3 years in a row, the Bulls would lose to the Pistons in the Playoffs. There were critics who said that a scoring champion couldn’t also be an NBA champion. Jordan would get very angry with this mentality and he would need to show all the people that they are wrong.

They did this by winning their initial NBA title in 1991 when they swept the Detroit Pistons in the Playoffs 4 games to 0. They then topped the Los Angeles Lakers, led by hall of famer Magic Johnson, in 5 games. Jordan was named NBA Finals Most Valuable Player.

There have been many more Michael Jordan movie documentaries produced since 1991 chronicling his rise to the highest levels of the NBA to the point where he is now considered the greatest basketball player of all time.
