Our team at iphonek.com looked at apps sold through iTunes and found some interesting stats. In this article we focus on companies that have a large number of applications in the Apps Store.

Number of apps: 250+
Focus Area: Based on their number of apps, this company appears to be one of the most innovative to date. They also have apps in the largest number of categories.
Price Range: Almost all apps on GP Apps are priced at $0.99 and only one app is offered for free. So if you are like me and really looking for free apps, GP Apps will not be easy to find.
As of February 21, 2009, QuicknEasy Translator Turkish-English apps became the #1 paid apps on the App Store. Just one note: This company doesn’t seem to have put much effort into keeping their website user-friendly and well-organized.
India NIC, LLC
Number of applications: 200
Focus Area: This company seems to have found its niche in app development. They have focused on spiritual reference books that cover almost all religions.
Price range: The price of IndiaNIC apps seems to vary between $0.99 and $7.99. By the way, IndiaNIC is following the strategy of other companies by offering a free app.
Paragon Software Group
Number of apps: 175+
Focus Area: Paragon Software Group focuses on providing dictionaries for various languages. While browsing through its inventory of apps, I didn’t find a single app that wasn’t related to the dictionary.
About the company: Paragon Software Group is an international holding company with branches in Germany, Russia, Japan and the United States. Founded in 1994, Paragon is known for its diversified product development with applications compatible with a wide variety of mobile devices, including Android, Blackberry, iPhone, iPod Touch, Java, Windows Mobile, Symbian OS and Palm OS.
Price Range – From a pricing perspective, Paragon clearly prefers the fancy apps, as their prices start at $9.99 and go all the way up to $59.99. It goes without saying that Paragon does not offer any free apps.

Price range: Innovative Language Learning offers free “lightweight” apps for most languages that aim to demonstrate how effective this type of app can be. Most other apps are priced at $0.99. At that price, they’re worth a try rather than spending hundreds of dollars on Rosettanet.
Renkara Media Group, Inc.
Number of apps: 150+
Focus Area: Renkara is quite similar to Innovative Language Learning in that it focuses on providing apps for learning new languages.
Price Range: Approximately 90% of the apps offered by Renkara are priced at $14.99; all other apps are priced at $4.99.
Appsessions, LLC
Number of apps: 100+
Focus Area: Appsessions apps focus on entertainment and education and come in the form of audiobooks and study guides. You will find a number of study guides for various standard tests like MCAT, TOFEL, SAT, GRE, etc.
Price range: Almost all audiobooks offered by Appsessions are priced at $0.99, while study guides are priced at $14.99 or more.

Number of apps: 100+
Focus Area: As the name suggests, these are reference apps for Judaism, many in Hebrew and English.
Price Range: Most of the apps provided by JewishContent.org are free.
VLCD
Number of Applications: Approximately 100
Focus Area: DMBC provides applications of various genres, including iPhone e-books, games, business and financial applications, etc.
Price range: Approximately 80% of the DMBC apps are priced at $0.99 and the prices of the remaining apps vary. DMBC currently offers six applications free of charge.
Chillingo Ltd.
Number of Applications: Approximately 100
Focus Area: Chillingo focuses on “light” gaming apps, but also offers other genre apps, including utilities, educational apps, and many more.
Price Range: Some game apps are free, but the remaining apps are priced from $0.99 to $6.99.

Number of Applications: Approximately 100
Focus Area: This company offers travel guides for many popular and famous travel destinations.
Price Range: All apps provided by Sehat Rosny are priced at $0.99.
