Why Boko Haram Leader Brother Abubakar Shekau (Darul Tawhid) Should Stop This Jihad

SUBJECT: PLEASE RECONSIDER AND HAVE MERCY ON US

I call you brother not because I am your mother’s son or a Muslim brother. But you are my brother because we are both Nigerians, although you have actually told us that you are the newest caliph in the world. Brother, I know that you have respect for Usumah bin Muhammad bin Awad bin Ladin (may Allah Almighty admit him to Paradise) and Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi Al-Husseini Al-Qurashi, but I want to draw your attention to Sheikh Uthman dan Fodio (may Allah Most High admits him in Paradise), the most influential Islamic scholar on the history of Islam in West Africa and probably Africa because he was closer to us than the other two jihadists.

Brother Abu, in September 1804 Shehu Uthman dan Fodio declared the first jihad in Nigeria against the Gobir rulers. His reasons for the jihad were;

A. The Gobir people mix Islam with paganism. The Hausa people mixed the teachings of the Prophet (saaw) with aspects of traditional regional religion.

b. The Gobir rulers imposed heavy taxes on the poor and oppressed the peasantry.

against The government of the Habe or Hausa rulers was corrupt and inefficient. Citizens could not obtain administrative justice in the courts of law without the payment of bribes.

d. Law courts administered customary rather than Islamic justice. The main penalties for breaking the law were heavy fines that helped add to the state’s revenue.

my. Commercial laws were not applied to safeguard society against extortion.

F. The Fulani (relatives of Uthman dan Fodio) were excluded from the highest levels of government even though they were more educated.

gram. The assassination attempt on the life of Uthman dan Fodio by Yunfa, the ruler of Gobir.

Darul Tawhid, on August 9, 2009, his sect Boko Haram declared war on Nigeria. According to his spokesperson, the reasons for the declaration of war were the following;

A. The adoption of a civilized or Western constitution with provisions such as women’s rights and privileges, the idea of homosexuality, lesbianism, multi-party democracy, blue movies, baby rape, prostitution, drinking beer and alcohol and many others who oppose it. to Islamic civilization.

b. The assassination of their first leader Mallam Yusuf (may God Almighty admit him to Paradise) in a callous, wicked and malicious manner.

against The non-adoption of Sharia law in Nigeria and

d. The existence of evil political parties running the country, the corrupt, irresponsible, criminal and murderous political leadership of Nigeria.

Brother Abu, I know that I am not qualified to address you because I do not have your caliber in age, wealth, size, education and fame. Also my dedicated fellowship with the “people of the Book” is a great handicap in talking to you. Please have pity on me. I strongly perceive that Sheikh Uthman dan Fodio’s jihad, which inspired early jihadists such as Ahmadu Seku, Alhaji Umar, Samori Ibn and Lafiya Toure, also has a great influence on you. A critical look at the reasons for Uthman’s jihad and yours shows some similarities. But I want to state categorically that some of the reasons for his fight are genuine while others are not justifiable.

Darul Tawheed, the Nigerian state has never enacted laws to encourage women to disrespect their husbands, nor has it prevented women from getting married. All we have done is make laws that protect women from being treated like animals. They need to be educated and not used as household utensils. Uthman dan Fodio spoke strongly about women’s education. He took the women out of his houses and put them in one area and the men in another area and began to lecture them regularly. My brother, Nigeria is not guilty of this charge.

The Nigerian National Assembly, regardless of all pressure from the West, recently enacted the Anti-Gay Act, which shows that Nigeria is against lesbianism and homosexuality. I am very confident that our leaders will continue to resist any internal or external forces that pressure them to legalize these abhorrent acts. I feel that we are not guilty of this accusation. Likewise, this nation has laws that prohibit drug trafficking and rape, and several of the offenders have been duly punished. We are totally against drug trafficking and our land prohibits rape. But their actions may be reasonable because nations corrupt law enforcement and judicial officers, who sometimes abandon or subvert the law due to the influence of bribery. But by the grace of God all the corrupt government officials will soon be wiped out of Nigeria.

Big brother, the issue of multi-party democracy, blue movies, prostitution, beer and alcohol consumption and many others that oppose Islamic civilization are more complex. About the topic; multi-party democracy, sir, I can’t say much about that because I feel like the people should elect their leaders. I think I know your complaint, all leaders must be chosen by the Almighty. But I also believe that the voice of the righteous majority is an indicator of God’s will. A free and fair election will produce a good leader.

Pornography, prostitution and alcoholism are threats to society. They have caused more harm than good. Although our government has not made laws prohibiting these acts, I only support the prohibition of these social vices. Almost all religions in Nigeria preach against pornography, prostitution and alcoholism. I also suggest that we teach Nigerians the good news from the Holy Book to avoid mixing the teachings of the Prophet (saaw) with aspects of the other religion.

The assassination of their first leader Mallam Yusuf (may Allah Almighty admit him to Paradise) in a callous, wicked and malicious manner is highly reprehensible. He was not given a fair hearing, but he was mercilessly killed. We are guilty of murder. My only comment on this topic is; have mercy, show us compassion and forgive us our sins. We can’t replace his life, but I know we’ve learned our lessons the hard way.

My brother, what I speak now is only personal, the entities that make up Nigeria are not all Muslim. Islam was predominantly the state religion in most of northern Nigeria with other regions having their own religion. Nigeria has never been an Islamic state because the 1914 merger united different religions, and insisting that citizens convert to a particular religion might not be possible. Even Sheikh Uthman dan Fodio never forced pagans to convert to Islam; rather they were subject to the protection tax. The Nigerian nation has the Sharia Court which has the power to judge all cases related to Islam. I suggest that every Muslim should maximize the wisdom of Sharia Law, while other citizens should be allowed to practice their own religion because jihad is not a declaration of war against other religions. It is worth noting that the Holy Qur’an specifically refers to Jews and Christians as “people of the book” who are to be protected and respected. All three religions worship the same God. Allah is simply the Arabic word for God, and is used by both Christian and Muslim Arabs. As long as non-Muslims remain meek and willing to live in peace among believers and have no intention of dominating Muslims, their divine obligation is to treat them peacefully, despite their denial of Islam. Brother, come and make a treaty with the government.

Brother, you raised the issue of the evil political parties running the country, the corrupt, irresponsible, criminal and murderous political leadership of Nigeria as one of the reasons for jihad. My brother, I am your first witness in this matter. Corruption has eaten deep into the fibers of this nation. Today, corrupt politicians are bestowed with National Honors and boss titles. They fly in private planes because they don’t want to drive on bad roads. They travel abroad for medical examinations because they know that they have turned our hospitals into a den of death. Their children study in the best schools abroad because they know that our schools hardly produce graduates who can compete favorably with their counterparts due to misappropriation of education funds. Grandma, we yell and they pretend they are deaf. We cry but it seems that our tear is not seen. Poverty and death are now the order of the day. Nigerians are dying daily by the thousands because of these ruthless and evil politicians. In fact, the number of people who have died from the looting of national funds is less than the number that you and your sects have murdered. If we add the number of Nigerians who die every day in traffic accidents on bad roads, those who lose their lives due to lack of medicines or the people who have died during fires due to lack of electricity, you will agree with me.

If indeed one of your reasons for this jihad is to cleanse the wicked, corrupt, irresponsible, criminal and murderous political parties from the Nigerian political leadership, then the masses are solidly behind you because they are our main problem, not you. Brother, I have a question for you, since this jihad started, how many corrupt politicians have you punished? All of them and their family members can afford the best security device that will keep them temporarily safe. Some of them have even decided to live outside the country and fly to the country in their private planes. The victims of jihad are the poor for whom you claim to be fighting. Abu, they are killing us every day and you are also doing the same, what do you want us to do?

Brother, all these bombings, kidnappings and murders must stop. They promised us that in six months if Yobe, Adamawa and Borno are in charge, Boko Haram will be crushed. We gave it to them and they asked for another six months which they also got. Now that they want another six months and people ask; The kid you couldn’t beat when he was crawling, how can you beat him now that he’s started to walk?

My sincere purpose in writing this article is to apologize. We are sorry we killed you great leader. We regret promoting pornography, alcoholism and prostitution. I also apologize on behalf of our greedy and evil politicians have mercy on them. Remember that the Prophet Muhammad told his followers returning from a military campaign: “This day we have returned from the lesser jihad to the greater jihad,” which he said meant returning from the armed battle to the peaceful battle for self-control and improvement. That is, he can protect the faith against others by using legal, diplomatic and economic means to politicians. Darul Tawhid, tell the government what you want and stop killing the ones you want to protect.
