Diamond Delta System
The Diamond Delta is a massive new addition to the world’s most famous river. It runs through Pakistan and India and it is one of the largest rivers in both of those countries. There are about sixty miles of canals and rapids on the way to Agra, where the Indian government has decided to build a world class city there. The river was part of an ancient lake that was turned into a dry lake bed. It has now been transformed with a complete overhaul by modern geologists. This extraordinary event has led to this large, newly formed diamond.
This diamond, which is nearly eight inches in diameter, is only the second diamond ever found in a completely dried lakebed. There are many other stones in the delta that have also been found, but this diamond is unique because it is made by nature in its natural environment. This means that no other diamonds in the world can be exactly like it. Another diamond called the Blue Nile diamond has an interesting history. It was found in a lake that had dried up and had many animal carcasses floating around in it. The stones inside the lake were similar to the diamond in Diamond Delta.
Another massive diamond, the Malibu, is almost as huge. It has a black color and a light reddish tint to it. The stones found in this particular deposit are similar to the Black Diamond, but much larger. All of these diamonds will be on display at a recent conference that was held in South Africa. It involved representatives from fifteen different countries.
A Brief History of the Diamond Delta System
In order to get to the diamond deposits in the delta, you need to be on a boat. When you get to the depth where the water is about two hundred meters or so deep, you will then need to use a cable to drag your boat further. The boats will travel along a route that starts off the Indian Ocean and ends near the mouth of the Zambezi River. Each country that is a member of the conference will send a team to determine the location of these deposits.
There is much research that has been done on the properties of these diamonds. Scientists have discovered that the color of the diamonds is determined by the way in which they are formed. For instance, some diamonds are found near a source of light, such as an explosion. These diamonds sparkle, causing the light to refract. This is what gives the diamond its rainbow colors. If a diamond is found near a volcano, for example, it will glow a red color.
The amount of rare earth elements that are contained within a diamond is also important to know. It is thought that a particular type of rare earth element will give the diamond its color. For instance, if a diamond is found near copper, it will be red. If it is found near gold, it will be yellow. The rarer the element, the more colorful the diamond.
