How climate change is affecting our environment

It is worth remembering that the warm period that followed the last ice age brought about the destruction of large mammals such as mammoths, woolly rhinos, and cave bears.

Scientists from the United States Environmental Protection Agency estimate that the increase in temperature on Earth will cause the extinction of almost 30 percent of our flora and fauna.

This will trigger animal migrations.

For example, in the northern hemisphere foxes are becoming more common, in the Arctic and even many species of songbirds due to changes in the tundra will have to look for other nesting sites.

Rising temperatures with accompanying floods and droughts create favorable conditions for mosquitoes, ticks, rats, and other serious disease-carrying insects and animals.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that new serious diseases may break out in different countries in terms of weather, such as West Nile fever in Canada.

With high probability it can be assumed that tropical diseases such as malaria will be transmitted by mosquitoes to countries that have NEVER been exposed to this killer.

Global warming through increased carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere will also increase the health risk in the number of people who suffer from allergies or asthma.

The widespread contempt for global warming is due in large part to so-called skeptics.

Half of poverty, as indicated by the best scientists, suggests that climate change plays a role.

North Carolina politicians decided, contrary to the findings of scientists, that the rise in the water level is in line with the historical trend and will be in the 21st century of 20 cm. Experts, however, believe that it will exceed 1 m.

The undisputed leader, however, is a Texas congressman who claims the Biblical flood is an example of climate change, which did not cause excessive greenhouse gas emissions.

Globalization processes cover the most remote areas of the globe, bringing great changes to society and the environment. The inappropriate use of natural resources leads to undesirable effects such as global warming, greater pressure on the environment, imbalance and the deepening of social inequalities.

Spectacular changes imply, among others, an increase in temperature,

melting of glaciers, rise in sea level, desertification, soil erosion and disappearance of biodiversity.

The devastation of the environment and the overexploitation of natural resources is a consequence of technological progress and the increase in population.

The most susceptible to the effects of climate change are the countries of the South, whose economy is strongly based on natural resources, and given the structure of the economy (mainly based on

for agriculture) depends on Nature. These countries are due to chronic poverty and lack of basic infrastructure characterized by low adaptability.

This problem has recently focused the attention of world public opinion, causing a massive debate on climate change with environmentalists.
