Nature’s Warning Signs

Nobody gets sick overnight. Nature usually sends its warning signals whenever any law is broken. If the person ignores the signs of it and continues with their current diets and habits, then nature has no other recourse than to deprive the person of her normal functions.

For example, due to poor diet, dirty habits, and other stressful activities, less urination occurs. More toxins accumulate in the body. In Ayurvedic medicine, the fire in the stomach is weakened, thus the appetite is lost. The ingested food then cannot be broken down properly, resulting in constipation or loose stools. This, in turn, affects the amount of impure blood produced. when there is inadequate oxidation of the blood, the wastes are not removed.

An accumulation of carbon dioxide and toxins slows down the function of a particular organ, thus reducing its vitality and increasing its fatigue. These accumulated wastes inhibit the flow and penetration of internal energy and the recharge that this organ needs. This is how diseases flourish around the particular organ, then reflecting on the specific areas of the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.

Before seeking or receiving any treatment or relief, we must first understand the language of the body. Body signals like belching indicate that the stomach is full. An ache or pain in certain areas shows congestion of carbon dioxide, water, fire element, air. A runny nose or sneezing means that the body is trying to expel excess water.

Coughing indicates that the body feels cold or that congestion in the throat and chest needs to be cleared.
The itching shows that more blood flow is required around the affected part. Fever indicates war within the body, that is, the white blood cells, our well-trained soldiers, battling pathogenic germs or bacteria.
Loss of appetite reveals congestion and constipation, or the body is busy fighting disease. In such a case, only lukewarm water and fruit juices or buttermilk should be taken instead of further overloading the stomach with food. Pain in the heart or chest pains shows that the heart yearns for complete rest. Try to rest in bed for 24 to 72 hours.

Understanding body language and paying attention to its warning signs is more vital than simply taking medication to suppress symptoms. In some cases, the sudden cessation of fever has often resulted in worse illness, even paralysis.

To get quick relief from the early warning signs of a sick body and break the vicious cycle of the aforementioned illnesses, health experts advise age-old methods to recharge our internal battery or to properly circulate internal subtle energy or chi. One method is pranayama or deep abdominal breathing, where the abdomen expands on inhalation and contracts on exhalation. Drink warm water or an electrolyte drink like Gatorade.

Skip a meal or two. Reduce food intake and drink more fruit and vegetable juices and buttermilk, which allows the digestive system to rest. Sleep recharges our body’s battery. More valuable than medicine is a good sleep, especially when one feels tired, or when there is pain in more than two or three points in the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet.

One of the vital points to check is the solar plexus, or the nabhi chakra, which is located below the sternum.
According to Ayurvedas, this is the control center for all the organs below the diaphragm. There are also ways to confirm if the solar plexus is in the right condition. In the morning, on an empty stomach, when lying on a hard surface on your back, press your finger or thumb against your navel. Throbbing sensations like that of the heart are felt. That means the system is correct.

Another way to check the state of the solar plexus is by measuring the distance between the right nipple and the navel and between the left nipple and the navel. If the distance is the same, then you have no problem, but if the center has shifted up or down, then you have a problem. Also, you can lie on your back, keeping your arms straight at your sides. Keep your legs straight and your toes pointed.

Both big toes should be level. If they are not, it indicates a disturbance in the solar plexus.

The core shifts up or down when excess weight is lifted or when there are serious gas problems. In such cases, the throbbing will not be noticeable somewhere around the navel. The upward displacement of the solar plexus leads to constipation, and the downward displacement brings more movement whenever there is pressure. If a person has colon cancer, there is chronic constipation, and it has been found that the solar plexus has moved upward. It is advisable to check the position of the solar plexus before starting a treatment. The solar plexus is like the mainsprings of a clock. Unless it is set up correctly, the treatment may not give the desired result.
