Many environmentalists and biodiversity conservation enthusiasts like me believe that designing effective strategies to stop this chancre of harmful attitudes and activities of people requires a pluralistic and multidisciplinary approach.
Relying heavily on a truncated science-and-technology-only approach to finding solutions to the global environmental threat cannot deliver most of the benefits. This is due in large part to the multifaceted nature of global environmental challenges that require good collaboration between the various academic disciplines.
To illustrate, the world needs economic and mathematical insights from economists and mathematicians on how to effectively manage biodiversity resources, establishing the correct measure between use and conservation (sustainability). Scientists, engineers, and technocrats must come up with new technologies like biomimicry and other biotechnological approaches to keep endangered species in our environment. Artists must reinforce awareness campaigns through their well-designed communication design tools. Anthropologists, bodybuilders, and religionists must devise strategies on how to change people’s weak attitudes and/or bad behaviors by extracting powerful lessons from their cultures (norms, religious beliefs, values, ethics, statutes) to appeal to their morals. and influence them. engage in environmentally friendly activities, protecting nature for which humans serve as trustees or stewards. Legal experts must devise strategies to establish strong laws that, when implemented, are strong enough to prevent those guilty of environmental misappropriation from changing their attitude and serve as a powerful deterrent so that others do not follow their evil steps.
Law enforcement officers, military professionals, and police personnel must ensure that environmental laws, rules, and regulations are working to strengthen the implementation processes of enacted environmental policies, strategies, and conventions.
Contributions from every field of human endeavour, some of which are not mentioned here but would play an equally important role in stopping global environmental challenges, can collectively produce the most beneficial results in saving the environment, our home and hope. of survival for the human generations.
