Awaken the giant within you – A Tony Robbins review

Tony (Anthony) Robbins is the American leader in the science of peak performance; his work changed many lives, including mine. He can give you the basics on the most effective techniques to master any part of your life. It’s so simple that anyone can do it if they want to.

I think this is the best of his development books so far. He has created more since then and before, but reading this over and over again has changed my mind. When it comes down to it, it is making us understand that we can live our life with incredible passion and that we can control how we act, feel, think and do.

Tony Robbins has learned from the best and he takes all of these teachings and makes them user friendly to share with all of us. His experience far exceeds what he could accomplish in life, his presentation makes it easy for everyone to use. These are my words, not yours, as I feel like we know some of these things, but choose not to really know them.

What is the password? What is your superpower? You must implement the lessons or you are just reading another story. Honestly, most of the actions you propose are very easily accomplished, but it requires constant effort. You must have clarity and the pain of leaving things as they are must be more than leaving them as they currently are.

Tony has other programs broken down that are specific regarding weight, job, money, etc. This is more of an overview giving you the tools for everyone, but it’s a big book to consume. I devour anything from Tony, so I’m hungry to learn more, for a beginner in his work, it may be too much. I feel like it really depends on where you are in your life. We can all do better and this is the book to help you with that. Pick one of his techniques and stick with it and you’ll end up using others as well.

These are some of my conclusions:

  • Small decisions you make daily change your destiny
  • By changing beliefs, values and rules you can change your behavior
  • Never leave the goal setting scene without taking action on something.
  • The better the questions, the more accurate the answers will be.
  • We have time, if we allow our belief system to claim that we have it.

My list goes on as I borrowed a lot from his work. The best thing about his job is that once I see that I can do it, it makes me want to do more. It makes me a believer again. His books have been given to me and given to others and they never get old. You can steal my heart with your work.

Reading this again inspired me to go to one of your events when I’m back in Australia. As the great man says, ‘Live with passion!’
