Will the Hindi songs from the 2013 Bollywood sequels recreate the magic of previous releases?

Do you remember movies like Aashiqui, Krrish and Dhoom? These movies became very popular with the masses not only because of the story, but also because of the well composed and moving Hindi songs. The success of a movie often depends on the quality of its music. This was particularly true in Aashiqui’s case.

The film, starring Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, became a commercial success mainly because of the popularity of their music. Dhoom had fast bikes and well-shot action sequences, but his catchy tunes also helped draw audiences to movie theaters. It remains to be seen if the Hindi songs from these Hindi movie sequels due out in 2013 will match the success of previous releases.

Aashiqui 2

This music from this movie will be compared to the previous version. Songwriters will find it difficult to impress due to the immense popularity of Hindi songs in Aashiqui. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that the previous release became a hit mainly because people wanted to hear the songs in movie theaters.

The Hindi songs on Aashiqui 2 have made a good first impression. It remains to be seen if the songs in this movie will surpass the popularity of the Hindi songs in the original.

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2

The previous film was a highly regarded comedy starring Dharmendra and his two sons. The film’s music was a hit with numerous upbeat songs, including one in which Dharmendra does his famous “Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana” step. The sequel seems to be crazier and funnier than the original movie. The Hindi songs in this movie seem similar to the songs in the original fast-paced movie Bhangra songs.

Ragini MMS 2

Ragini MMS brought horror back into fashion with its interesting plot and subtle horror sequences. Unlike traditional movies, the horror movie didn’t have too many songs and dance sequences. The Hindi songs, playing in the background, did a good job of setting the romantic and scary moods when the plot called for it. The sequel also promises to have Hindi songs that won’t interrupt the flow of the film. Well-composed music can have a huge impact on a movie’s terrifying quotient.

Krrish 3

The first and second editions of this film reaped the benefits of having melodious romantic songs along with dance numbers designed to help Hrithik Roshan show off his dancing skills. The third edition of this superhero series will definitely follow the same formula. The Roshans have a reputation for going the extra mile when composing the music for their home productions.

dhoom 3

Dhoom and Dhoom 2 attracted large numbers of young viewers due to dance numbers that featured top heroines in their hottest avatars. Considering the fact that Dhoom 3 is also based on fast bikes and hot chase sequences, it’s very likely that the Hindi songs in this movie are trying to cater to young fans of the franchise.
